I had a piece that wasn't fired because the glaze was cracking, is it not okay to have cracking glaze? I know that the glaze I bought can do that sometimes, but usually turns out okay. If it's not okay, how can I prevent this from happening so I can still use the glaze? Still learning and trying new glazes can be a doozy, thanks!

I moved that piece to the accidents happen shelf mostly because the glaze that was cracking was flaking off. There are a few commercial glazes that smooth back out during the firing but often (especially with our homemade glazes) the cracking doesn’t smooth out and shows on the final result. In your case it’s because pieces fell off of that pot. I fired the other one that was with it and also cracked but not flaking
