Hi everyone! As Chelsi mentioned, I'll be doing a zoom session on Thursday night demonstrating how I make geometric slab bowls. Here's a list of things you'll need: -3" sided square pattern -3" sided equilateral triangle pattern. Great website for the patterns is blocklayer.com -Slab rolled out to 1/4 inch thickness, leather hard (hard enough that the sides don't flop over when you stand it up ). Large enough to cut out 3 squares and 4 triangles -It's easier to make the bowl with smooth clay, not patterned, but if you'd like to have a pattern on the sides, make sure to roll it on before leaving the slab to harden to leather hard. Otherwise it may be rubbed out assembling the bowl -Needle tool -Angle cutter (I have a tool for this, but a needle tool will work if you don't have one) -Something to score with -Slip and paint brush -Extra clay to make a few small coils (can use scraps left over after cutting out shapes) -Rib tools (thin metal one, larger plastic one) -Sponge and small bowl of water Let me know if you have any questions. Otherwise, see you Thursday!
