Personalizing bats

I am looking for suggestions on personalizing my bats because I’ve seen similar ones around the studio. They are a hard, black plastic with a textured maker’s side and a smooth backside. I used a metallic marker on the smooth side, which expectedly washed off after a few uses.

I have spray paint, acrylic paint, nail polish, and a Dremel. I don’t want anything to rub off on my pots or add potential pollutants (my fear with spray paint) and I also don’t want to mess with the integrity of them (ie. Carving into the backs with my dremel).

What have you done to personalize yours? What materials should I avoid using?

I wouldn't be super worried about the integrity with a Dremel if you're light and stick to one side, but honestly I never bothered to customize mine and I haven't had any issues with other people having similar bats and mixups
