Hello! I was wondering if there has been any changes to Durango Blue? This piece is toasted over Durango blue and the bottom portion that's just Durango blue came out more matte instead of glossy like it usually is. Is that normal or did I somehow do something to make it that way? I think it looks really nice, though the combination with toasted didn't come out as nice as it normally does.

I don’t think you did anything to make it that way (if it was a thin application, it would fire more brown than blue). Your piece might have just been in a colder spot during the firing, but the kiln hits the right temp overall. I also think glazes change slightly every now and then because the materials are mined and different batches have different impurities that manufacturers can’t control.
