Anyone use nichrome wire for firing? Wondering about gauges and flexibility. I got some 12 gauge because I'm a bit worried that higher gauge wire will bend depending on the weight of the pieces, but it's far too thick to thread on pieces with small holes.

The plan was to suspend the wire between two sides of a form and hang the smaller pieces on the wire. Is there a better way?

Also, is the glaze going to fill in around the wire and fuse the pieces to the wire?
