Can I bisque after glazing mistake?
I was clearly not mentally present when I glazed some leather hard pots. I realized my mistake when the clay started to soften after dipping them. 🙄 I read that glaze on unbisqued clay could cause them to crack or even explode in the kiln. I rinsed the pots best I could and have been letting them dry but it looks like there is some residual glaze. See pics. Are they safe to bisque or have I ruined them? TIA

They should be fine for a bisque fire as long as they’re bone dry! They might crack and not absorb glaze the same way afterwards though. Up to you to fire, just leave a note that says it has some glaze on it if you put it in the line.
