Studio Announcements

Hi potters! I came in the studio today after taking a two week maternity break and I’m disappointed. There where dried paintbrushes with caked on kiln wash, a bmix box of clay on the porcelain side of the supply closet with a porc bag mixed in the box, the tables where dirty, the clay extruder wasn’t cleaned out the last time it was used, plastic bags just hanging out all over tables, personal stuff left on drying racks by the sink (with no owner in the studio) SOMEONE ADDED WATER TO OUR GLAZES, and more. There is no excuse to not clean up after yourself or follow our rules. On occasion we all leave stuff out by accident and it’s nbd but I was very disappointed walking into the studio today. Staff have to take their time cleaning these messes instead of further growing our studio and creating more opportunities for you! Also, when a glaze gets messed up it can cost the studio hundreds of dollars to fix. Please start treating this place with care. We built this studio with a lot of love and a lot of hard working hands went into it, let’s treat it as such. Also we will be tracking the cameras from here on out and will be addressing individual messes with the potter and further action will be taken as needed.
