Small/medium/large speckles
Hi- the speckled clay will be in advance? I’d use a couple precious bags which had small flecks and not tons of them, this currently batch when glazed had big flecks and tons of them and looked pretty different! Is there any way to know in advance about how thick and speckled the speckled clay will be or do we have a surprise? Just wondering? And thanks!

Hi Kaedra not sure about the first part. We tend to not be able to see any speckling until a little bit after the bisque fire and the full result after the glaze firing. But we measure every single load of recycle to a precise amount of sparkling so they should all be consistent. The only variation is if there’s a lot of speckle put in the recycle bins versus playing bmix, but not enough to change the appearance of the clay drastically!
