Underglaze advice needed! šŸ˜€

Does anyone suggest a recommended clear


top coat that’s NOT high gloss but is food safe and will preserve crisp linework from underglazes?

Background:

I made a couple test tiles to see how my new underglazes would look as fine lines and small dots. (Pics show before and after)


This is what I used to get the results shown:

1. Mayco Alabaster

Subdued the vibrancy of the colors 🄱


2. Amaco LM series transparent matte.

Vibrancy stayed but lines are very blurry šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« and a bit blotchy. Also, I’m pretty sure this glaze is for cone 05.

I have a question for you! Alabaster is a satin white…it let’s all that color thru?
